Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about line marking? Here are the ones we get asked most. If your question is not here, just give us a call.
Pricing and quotes
Do you charge for on-site visits and quotes?+
No. Our on-site consult and fixed written quote are completely free. We come out, have a look, measure up, and send you a clear quote with no obligation.
How do you price line marking work?+
We price based on the area, number of bays or markings, surface condition, and what paint system is needed. You get a fixed written quote before any work starts, so you know exactly what it will cost.
Is there a minimum job size?+
No, no job is too small. Whether it is one driveway edge line or a full car park restripe, we are happy to help.
Process and timing
How soon can you start after I accept the quote?+
Depending on our schedule and weather, we can usually start within 1 to 2 weeks of quote acceptance. If you need it done urgently, let us know and we will do our best to fit you in sooner.
Can you work after hours and weekends?+
Yes. We regularly work evenings, nights, and weekends to keep your business or car park running. Just let us know your preferred hours when you book.
How long does line marking take?+
A small car park might take half a day, while a large commercial lot can take two or three days. We will give you a time estimate in the quote.
Paint and surfaces
How long does the paint last?+
On a well-prepared surface, our traffic-grade paint typically lasts 3 to 5 years outdoors, and longer on indoor concrete floors. Heavy traffic areas may need a refresh sooner.
What surfaces can you mark on?+
We mark on asphalt, concrete, chip seal, and painted concrete floors. Each surface needs slightly different prep and paint, which we sort out during the site visit.
How soon can I use the area after painting?+
Most paint is dry enough for light traffic within 30 to 60 minutes, depending on weather. We will tell you when it is safe before we leave.
Compliance
Do mobility bays need to meet specific standards?+
Yes. Mobility parking bays have specific width and access requirements. We check the current standards during the site visit and make sure your bays comply.
Can you help with council requirements for loading zones?+
We can advise on what markings are needed for loading zones, and we make sure the line marking meets council requirements. For approval itself, you will need to check with Auckland Council if the zone is on public land.
Areas
What areas of Auckland do you cover?+
We cover all of Auckland, from the CBD to the North Shore, West Auckland, South Auckland, and East Auckland. If you are in the wider Auckland region, give us a call.
